The following knit samples explore the idea of bringing purpose and new life to recycled yarn. The relationship between the technique of knitting and light allows interpretation for how knitting can be used in different ways to create texture and frame both natural and artificial light.

Working with light to emphasise the shapes in the knit and explore different end uses.

Relationship between yarn, colour and light.

These videos communicate the feeling of rhythm through making. Exploring and discovering different techniques and concepts though making has allowed me to be able to communicate dynamic rhythms of playfulness as well as consistency and repetition. Exploring different textures, movement and rhythm in materials and how knitting can frame light and colour has helped create meaning and purpose in my samples.
